We had a great experience here. Site was clean and beautiful. The bathrooms leave something to be desired, but we knew this going in and brought our portable shower/outhouse.
This is a beautiful campground, I also got engaged here! It was the perfect place to escape from our busy city life. We went for the weekend and we loved the easy to moderate hikes. There's also a few great sports bar nearby it's a cute little town called Wrightwood. Overall, we had a great time and we'll definitely come back.
We'd a great time here. Most of the campsites and other facilities are clean and well maintained on this huge campground while few of them are small to fit 8 people or are a bit inconvenient. Although we'd reserved a site online, we were allowed to change the site after arrival. The camp manager was polite and helpful. Almost half of the campsites are available on first come first served basis. If arriving without reservation, I would suggest you to drive through the campground to find the best site.
Well we originaly had reservation for lake campground ( which is in the same area) it was a huge disappointment. Right off the highway. While we were going for firewood we decided to go check out table mountain if we liked it maybe we could find a open spot! Right away I was excited to find a spot! It was exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful views all around! most of the campsites are reall nice! The only draw back is no showers and the vault toilets, which are basically out houses, but they were very clean! Did not really smell! and you can get a portable shower or just wash yourself with soap and water. We were only there for 2 nights but we can't wait to go again!
Nice big hilly campground. We learned NOT to pick a site up close to any ridge top where the wind blows hard at night. Choose a site that is protected from the wind. If your site has a great view it will probably be too windy at night.
